B-004 - 5.1 oz - indigo sashiko twill
from Nihonmenpu, Japan
1 × 50 cm = 50 cm Gesamtlänge
This fine fabric from Nihon Menpu has a weight of 5.1 oz and a fabric width of 117 cm. Its characteristic pattern shows a dense grid of small cross stitches arranged in a checkerboard-like fashion. The Sashiko-like structure gives the fabric a calm yet very lively surface.
Due to its light weight, the material is excellent for summer shirts, as a lining for jackets or bags, for light blankets, curtains, or other decorative textile projects.
For processing, needle sizes between 70 and 80 are recommended – depending on the yarn thickness – allowing the fabric to be sewn cleanly and precisely.

Please do not wash the denim before processing. As an unwashed "raw selvage" fabric, it only develops its characteristic structure and fit through wear.
Wash the finished garment only after it is completely sewn. The respective shrinkage values for length and width should therefore be taken into account during pattern construction and size planning.
