JOHANN RUTTLOFF – PURE PASSION FOR DENIM
Johann Ruttloff is no ordinary fashion designer—he is a visionary of authentic craftsmanship. Since founding his label in 2010, he has dedicated himself to the mission of creating jeans that are not just clothing but a way of life. A self-taught artisan, he has spent over a decade perfecting the art of denim processing, refining cuts, and building a collection of historical special machinery, which he maintains himself with the precision of a mechanic. In his studio, now based in Berlin, unique pieces are crafted by his hands from the finest Japanese selvedge fabrics. Johann's work is a counter-design to fast consumption: Each pair of jeans is produced in elaborate single-item manufacturing, with an eye for details that remain invisible to the casual observer but make all the difference to the wearer. His focus is on longevity and individual patina—pieces that gain character with each day of wear and tell the story of their owner.
