This natural indigo-dyed Japanese selvage denim in a classic mid-blue shade weighs 12 oz and combines versatility with a distinct character. It is ideal for jeans, jackets, or overshirts that require a balanced substance and a vibrant surface.

In its new condition, the unwashed denim is shape-retaining, slightly textured, and features a deliberately noticeable structure. The surface is somewhat rougher and shows a subtly pronounced texture that gives the fabric depth and authenticity. With continued wear, the material becomes softer and develops an individual fit to the body and its movements.

The natural indigo-dyed mid-blue shade develops distinctive fades over time, with nuanced light-and-dark contrasts. The more visible structure makes creases and wear patterns stand out vividly—denim that continues to develop its story with every wear.

The fabric is made by Nihonmenpu in Okayama—one of Japan's most renowned regions for high-quality selvage denim. Fabrics with an authentic feel and expressive surface effect are woven there on traditional shuttle looms.

The 12 oz selvage can be easily worked with a well-adjusted domestic sewing machine. A size 80–90 jeans needle is generally sufficient; a reduced sewing speed is recommended for multi-layered flat-felled seams.
