S-032 - 13 oz - indigo selvedge denim
Dark indigo-blue selvage denim with a red-and-white woven edge
1 × 50 cm = 50 cm Gesamtlänge
This 13 oz selvage denim from Japan is made by Nihon Menpu in Ibara and is made of 100% cotton. Dyed with natural indigo, the fabric impresses with its deep, vibrant color and a particularly homogeneous, calm appearance. The striking red selvedge edge adds a classic detail with authentic character.
In its new condition, the denim feels firm, shape-retaining, and clearly structured. With increased wear, the material develops a pleasant suppleness while maintaining its even surface. The natural indigo dyeing ensures a particularly beautiful, vibrant patina that develops individually over time.
Thanks to its homogeneous structure, the fabric is ideal for jeans, jackets, or overshirts where clean lines and a classic indigo look are the focus.
With its 13 oz weight, the denim can be easily processed with a standard household sewing machine. A size 90 jeans needle is recommended; when sewing multi-layered flat-felled seams, the sewing speed should be reduced to achieve precise seams.
The last photo exemplarily shows the natural development of the fabric over extended wear – the natural indigo dyeing develops a high-contrast, characteristic patina that impressively underscores the high-quality origin of this denim.

Please do not wash the denim before processing. As unwashed "raw selvage," the fabric only develops its characteristic structure and fit through wear.
Wash the finished garment only after complete assembly. The respective length and width shrinkage values should therefore be taken into account during pattern making and sizing planning.
