S-038 - 12 oz - beige selvedge denim
white/red selvage line - from Nihonmenpu, Japan
1 × 50 cm = 50 cm Gesamtlänge
This 12 oz selvage denim from Japan is made by Nihon Menpu in Ibara and features a light sand-beige color. The reactive dyeing gives the fabric a soft, even color with vibrant depth, while the slightly textured surface gives the denim a subtle, distinctive look. The classic white/red woven selvedge elegantly finishes the material.
In its new condition, the denim feels firm and substantial, with a pleasant feel and even texture. With continued wear, the fabric gently adapts to the body while retaining its muted color effect and fine texture.
Thanks to its subtle texture, the fabric is ideal for jeans, jackets, overshirts, chinos, or accessories that require a light, natural color and an elegant, slightly textured appearance.
With its 12 oz weight, the denim can easily be worked with a standard household sewing machine. A size 90 jeans needle is recommended; when sewing multi-layered flat-felled seams, the sewing speed should be reduced to achieve precise seams.
The last photo shows the natural development of the fabric over extended wear – the light sand-beige color and subtle texture develop an elegant, individual patina that highlights the premium character of this denim.

Please do not wash the denim before processing. As unwashed "raw selvage," the fabric only develops its characteristic structure and fit through wear.
Wash the finished garment only after complete assembly. The respective length and width shrinkage values should therefore be taken into account during pattern making and sizing planning.
