This 13 oz selvage denim is made by Nihon Menpu in Ibara and impresses with its highly pronounced texture and slightly rougher surface. The indigo dyeing gives the fabric a classic, deep color effect with authentic denim character.
In its new condition, the fabric appears bold, substantial, and vibrant. The stronger texture creates visible depth and an exciting play of light on the surface. With increased wear, the denim develops a pleasant suppleness, while distinctive fading and an individual patina emerge.
Thanks to its 13 oz weight, the fabric is ideal for jeans, jackets, or sturdy overshirts where substance and texture are paramount. A jeans needle with a thickness of 90–100 is recommended; when working with multi-layered flat-felled seams, the speed should be reduced to achieve precise and clean seams.
