S-034 - 11.5 oz - beige selvage denim
white/red selvage line - from Kuroki, Japan
1 × 50 cm = 50 cm Gesamtlänge
This 11.5 oz selvage denim from Japan is made by Kuroki in Okayama and features an ochre-beige color with a very slight green tint. The soft texture and small, irregular inclusions in the weave give the fabric a lively, authentic noppy look.
In its new condition, the denim feels pleasantly soft to the touch, with a calm, even surface that gains special depth and character from the irregular fiber inclusions. With increased wear, the material develops a supple feel while retaining its distinctive noppy texture.
The natural color makes the fabric particularly versatile – ideal for jeans, jackets, overshirts, or accessories where earthiness, texture, and character are paramount.
At 11.5 oz, the denim can easily be worked with a standard household sewing machine. A size 90 jeans needle is recommended; when sewing multi-layered felled seams, the sewing speed should be reduced to achieve precise seams.
The last photo shows an example of the fabric's natural development over extended wear – the warm, slightly green-tinted ochre color and distinctive noppies develop a lively, individual patina.

Please do not wash the denim before processing. As unwashed "raw selvage," the fabric only develops its characteristic structure and fit through wear.
Wash the finished garment only after complete assembly. The respective length and width shrinkage values should therefore be taken into account during pattern making and sizing planning.
