S-069 - 6 oz - gestreifter Indigo-Selvage-Chambray
white/red selvage line - from Nihonmenpu, Japan
1 × 50 cm = 50 cm Gesamtlänge
This 6 oz chambray is made by Nihon Menpu in Ibara and is distinguished by its fine indigo stripes on a lightweight, summery fabric. The subtle texture gives the fabric an elegant, airy character.
Thanks to its low weight, the chambray is particularly suitable for summer shirts, dresses, and skirts. It can also be used excellently as a lining fabric for jackets or trousers where a lightweight, comfortable feel is required.
The surface is soft and supple, and the material can be sewn easily with standard household sewing machines. A universal or jeans needle in size 70–80 is recommended; when sewing multiple layers, the sewing speed should be reduced to achieve precise results.
The last photo shows an example of the fabric's natural development – over time, the fine stripes and lightweight chambray fabric develop a subtle, elegant patina.

Please do not wash the denim before processing. As unwashed "raw selvage," the fabric only develops its characteristic structure and fit through wear.
Wash the finished garment only after complete assembly. The respective length and width shrinkage values should therefore be taken into account during pattern making and sizing planning.
