This 13 oz selvage denim from Japan is produced by Nihon Menpu in Ibara and features a natural indigo tone with 13% linen. The combination of cotton and linen gives the fabric a vibrant texture, while the signature "noppies"—small tufts of white yarn on the surface—add further character and a rustic, handcrafted look.
When new, the denim feels firm and slightly stiff, as is typical for unwashed raw selvedge fabrics. With wear, the material develops a pleasant suppleness, while retaining the distinctive nubby texture and the subtle color variation of the natural indigo.
