This 11 oz fabric from Japan impresses with its subtle striped look and anthracite dye. Thanks to the plain weave, it differs structurally from typical denim in a twill weave – technically speaking, it is therefore a chambray. The uniform weave ensures a calm, clear surface with a fine texture and elegant restraint.
In its new condition, the fabric feels light, pleasantly tactile and balanced. The subtle stripes give it depth without appearing overpowering. Through wear, the material develops a soft suppleness, while the indigo dye gently gains character.
With its 11 oz weight, the fabric is ideal for shirts, lightweight overshirts, summer jackets or stylish dresses. This chambray is also excellently suited for modern workwear-inspired projects when a lighter alternative to classic denim is desired.
The fabric can be processed without any problems with a standard household sewing machine. A universal or fine denim needle in size 80–90 is recommended to achieve clean and precise seams.
